Unjury is a protein food supplement company for bariatric patients, offering the highest quality protein and vitamins, including protein shakes, protein bars, and protein meal replacements for bariatric and weight loss patients.
They wanted to introduce a new product that could be frozen and act like ice cream — which is a big deal for a bariatric patient who can no longer enjoy traditional sweet treats.
Unjury hired us to create art for a print and social media campaign that would introduce the "dessert" product as both good for you like medicine, and a treat. We also created all the Facebook and Instagram marketing materials.
The new product, Bonjoy, didn't have much product photography, so we had to figure out an interesting way to show it as a yummy treat that is also doctor-approved. Here are our first drafts.
The product photos we were given didn't have much to offer, so we painstakingly recreated the package design in Photoshop pixel by pixel — giving the product some much-needed love and making the package far more exciting and full of life. Before we could design layouts for the site and social media, we had a lot of groundwork to do.
We were also asked to create a character to accompany photos of real people doing normal activities — celebrating the new life they now enjoy thanks to Unjury's products.
We decided to use the "U" in their name to bring the character to life.
Due to all the work we did making something out of nothing, we were asked to create a scene with a person using the shaker from Unjury alongside the product.
They didn't have the budget for a model or a complicated photoshoot, so we were asked to build the scene and marry all the elements into something believable.
